Hon. Zachary Njeru is the Acting Speaker of Nyandarua County Assembly and also the MCA for Nyakio ward. He is also the Chairman of Liaison Committee and the Vice Chair of the House Business Committee.
He is also a member of the Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination, Powers and privileges, Transport, Energy and Public Works Committee.
Hon. Njeru holds a Diploma in County & Public Administration, Diploma in Bible Study & Leadership and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Public Administration.
Other academic qualifications of the Deputy Speaker are:
Certificate in County Governance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT), Certificate in Public Relations from German Training Institute (GTI) and a certificate in Computer Studies from African Institute of Research and Development Studies
He is an alumnus of Bongo primary and Magumu secondary schools and has been in active politics since the year 2013.
He is married to Ann and they have been blessed with a son Denis Junior and daughter Florence
Nyandarua County Assembly Service Board Chairperson
Hon. Reuben Gitau alias Njamba is the sitting MCA for Shamata Ward and is a member of Budget and Appropriations Committee; Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Committee; Health Services Committee and Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination.
Hon. Gitau is the Managing Director of Buret Chemicals Company and the Organizing Secretary of Smart 14 Youth Movement. He was the chairman of the National Youth Council of the United Democratic Forum (UDF) party in the year 2011.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology (Industrial Chemistry) from the Technical University of Kenya and a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from the same university. He is a former student of Kaheho primary and secondary schools.
He is married and is a father of one child
Hon. Rimui Kaiyani is the MCA for Githabai Ward and is the chairman for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts in Nyandarua County Assembly.
He is a member in the Budget and Appropriations Committee; Special Funds Account Committee; Transport, Energy and Public Works Committee; Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination Committee and Liaison Committee.
Hon. Kaiyani holds a BSc. Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Nairobi. He went to Narok High School and Sekerot Primary School.
He is also trained in Logistics Management, Logistics Systems and Procurement Procedures; Security and Safety management and is a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.
Before he joined the County Assembly, Hon. Kaiyani was the Director of Project Quality at Silfarm Agencies Limited.
He previously worked as a Shelter and NFI Program Manager, Area Coordinator and Logistics and Security Consultant at Catholic Relief Services in Northern Sudan (Darfur).
He has also worked with Tearfund- UK Northern Sudan Program, World Health Organization and Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) Belgium.
Ms. Elizabeth Muthui is the acting Clerk for the Assembly and The Secretary to the County Assembly Service Board (CASB). She is an advocate of the High Court and holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree from Moi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.
She has over 10 years experience as a legal counsel. Before, being appointed to the position of Ag. Clerk, Ms Elizabeth served substantively at managerial level as the Principal Procedural Clerk. She has also served in the Legal Department as a Senior Legal Counsel.
