Nyandarua County Assembly Making Nyandarua Better
Hon. Stephen Wachira Waiganjo is the 2nd Speaker of the Nyandarua County Assembly having been elected and sworn in during the First Sitting of the 3rd Assembly on 23rd September, 2022.
He is the Chairperson of the County Assembly Service Board which is established pursuant to section 12 of the County Governments Act of 2012. He also chairs the House Business and the Powers and Privileges Committees.
Before joining the Assembly, he was the managing partner at Wachira Waiganjo & Company Advocates. He previously worked as a Senior Legal Researcher at Kithure Kindiki and Company Advocates.
Hon. Waiganjo holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Certificate in Computer Science and Information Technology.
He hails from Ol jororok Constituency, Charagita Ward, and is an alumni of Uhuru Primary School in Charagita Ward and Thika High School. He is a family man, Husband to Tabitha and father of three; Izreal, Britney, and Jasmine.
He is an innovative, self-motivated, hardworking, committed, and a result-oriented leader.
