Nyandarua County Assembly Making Nyandarua Better
Hon. Cathryn Nyawira is a prolific communicator and a passionate, visionary and enthusiastic leader. She is serving her second term, in the Nyandarua County Assembly as a specially elected Member representing women. She is the former communication advisor of the Jubilee Party.
She is serving the people of Nyandarua as Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Implementation. Additionally, she is a member of the following sectoral committees:
- Public Service, Administration and Devolution
- Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries
- Finance and Economic Planning and ICT Committees.
Hon. Cathryn holds a Bachelor of Journalism, Public Relations and Commerce from K.E.M.U University and Diploma in Journalism TV and Radio. She is an alumnus of Kahuhia Girls High Schools.
She a deacon of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (P.C.E.A). Indeed, she is also the Chairlady Oraimutia Dairy Farmers Self Help Group in Charagita ward and a member Ngoro Theru Self Help Group in Kiriita ward. She also serve in Board of management at Ndururi high school
She is a mother of two Sons and guardian to two boys.
