Nyandarua County Assembly Making Nyandarua Better
Hon. Emma Mwihaki Kibiro is a member of the Nyandarua County Assembly Service Board (CASB) representing the Female Gender.
Ms. Emma is a Research Scientist with a vast experience in the field. She holds a Master of Science in Mycology from the University of Eldoret and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Moi University. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree at Mount Kenya University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Pathology at the University of Eldoret.
She has previously worked as a Research Officer at the Nyandarua County Assembly, an Expert Reviewer at the Vick Agricare, and as a Research Scientist at the National Museums of Kenya. She has also served as a Board Member in various schools within Nyandarua County and is currently serving as a Delegate at the Center for Multiparty Democracy (CMD) Kenya.
In her line of practice, as a Research Scientist, she has made the following publications: –

- Occurrence and Diversity of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi Associated with Indigenous Trees in the Eastern Mau Forest in Journal of Science
- Management of Potato Late Blight (Phytophthora infestans) using Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi in Kisii University Interdisciplinary Conference Proceedings
She is also skilled in Data Management and Presentation, Proposal Development, as well as Scientific Research Consultancy.
