Nyandarua County Assembly Making Nyandarua Better
Hon. Mwangi Gichuki is a visionary, multi-faceted and transformative leader, attributes of which have had him serve as the Engineer Ward representative for two terms. His political journey began in 2007 when he was elected as Secretary to the Engineer Location Development Committee, a position he held till 2012. He was thereafter elected as the first Member of County Assembly for Engineer Ward in 2013 and served as such in the First County Assembly. He also served as the first Leader of the Majority Party and Vice-Chairman of the Nyandarua County Assembly Service Board. In that First assembly, he was also Chairman of the Finance Committee and Member to the Committees on Implementation; House Business; and Water, Environment and Natural Resources.
From the year 2020, he served in the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation as a special advisor to the Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Sicily Kariuki, in matters of Community Development with a special interest in provision of water, especially connectivity, at the grass roots.
Hon. Mwangi Gichuki is the current Member of County Assembly for Engineer Ward in the Nyandarua County Assembly. He also serves the great people of Nyandarua as the Leader of the Minority Party. He is also the representative of the Minority Leaders at the County Assemblies Forum (CAF) Governing Council.
He sits in the following Committees:

– Health Services
– Water, Environment, Climate Change, and Natural Resources.
He holds a Degree in Bachelor of Science in Community Development from Laikipia University.
