Hon. Zachary Njeru is the MCA for Nyakio Ward he served as the Deputy Speaker, and the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of Liaison and House Business Committees, respectively.
He was also a member of: Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination; Powers and privileges; and Transport, Energy and Public Works Committees.
Hon. Njeru holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science & Public Administration, a Diploma in County & Public Administration and a Diploma in Bible Study & Leadership. He is presently pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Public Administration & Management(Public Policy).
The immediate former Deputy Speaker boasts a raft of other academic credentials including; Certificate in County Governance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT), Certificate in Public Relations from German Training Institute (GTI) and a certificate in Computer Studies from African Institute of Research and Development Studies.
He is an alumnus of Bongo Primary and Magumu Secondary Schools.
Hon. Njeru’s political career in active politics spans a remarkable 11 years with his debut at the National Youth Council as a Youth delegate in 2011.
He is married to Ann and is blessed with a son and 2 daughters.

Hon. Sambigi Mukuria is the Leader of the Majority Party, represents Githioro Ward as the MCA in Nyandarua County Assembly.
He is a member of the Lands, Housing and Physical & Urban Development; Implementation Committee; Public Accounts and Investments Committee and Liaison Committee.
Hon. Mukuria graduated from the University of Nairobi in 1992 and has a wide experience in financial matters and analysis.
Before he joined the County Assembly as an MCA, he was the Chairman of Renaissance Capital, a position he had held since the year 2013. Other positions that he held were: – Head of Sales and Marketing at African Alliance Investment Bank (2006- 2009) – Chief dealer of Kestrel Capital Investment Bank (1995- 1999) He also worked for Standard Investment Bank (1999- 2003)

Hon. Justus Gaita is the Member for Kiriita Ward and the Deputy Leader of the Majority Party in the County Assembly.
He is the Chairperson of Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination Committee; He is a member of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries committee, Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Committee; Transport, Energy and Public Works committee.
Before joining the County Assembly, Hon. Gaita was a project manager at Bahari Concrete Works in Kilifi. He was a production Engineer during construction of Kaloleni- Mavueni road, a project manager at Mhasibu Real estate- a roads construction company, and a senior foreman at Shiakariga- Mitungu road.
He is also a music teacher and has founded Gaita Foundation that supports pupils from poor families attain education and youth to acquire employment.
Hon. Gaita holds a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from Mombasa Polytechnic and is an alumni of Mung’etho primary and Nyali High School. He also holds a certificate in Occupational Health and safety training from New Sonic Quality inspectors Hon. Hon. Lucy Wangari Methu is a County Member from Kipipiri Ward and the Majority Party Chief Whip of Nyandarua County Assembly.
She is a member of the Liaison Committee, Health services Committee; Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Committee, Special Funds Account Committee.
Hon. Wangare Methu is the Reverend of the Remnant Ministries International Church in charge of Nyandarua Diocese.
Before joining the County Assembly, Hon. Methu was the area Chief for Kipipiri Location.
She previously worked as a Quality Controller at Homegrown Flamingo farm; Lab Technician at Miharati Secondary School and Lab Technician at the University of Nairobi Upper Kabete Campus in the department of Pharmacology and Technology.
Hon. Methu holds a Bachelor of Arts (Peace Studies& Conflict Resolution) from Mount Kenya University. She also holds a Diploma in Applied Biology from Murang’a University and another Diploma in Public Relations from Intercorrespondence Schools London (ICS).
She has also received training on HIV & AIDS counselling skills and Home-based care sensitization from the Office of the President HIV & AIDs control unit; and also Paralegal and AP matters at Administration Police Training College (APTC).
She is a former student of Kangui High School.
On recognition, Hon. Methu has received certificates of commendation twice from the Women Enterprise Fund for excellence in support of its mission. She has also received commendation from Kenya Primary School Heads Association for promoting education and fighting drugs and substance abuse in her location.
She is a mother of two boys- Calvin John Methu and Arnold Lee Gikwa.

Hon. Kieru Wambui was the MCA for Gatimu Ward where he was serving for the second term.
He was the Vice Chairperson of the County Assembly Service Board. He was also the Vice Chairperson of Committee on Implementation. He was a member of the Public Accounts and Investments Committee; Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources; and Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination.
Before he joined the County Assembly, Hon Kieru was an Assistant Manager at Eastern Bypass Developers and is still a shareholder of the company to date. He was before then an architectural technician at the National Housing Corporation.
Hon. Kieru holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BArch) from the Technical University of Kenya; Diploma in Technology (Architecture) and a Certificate in Computer Aided designs from the same university.
He also holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management and is a former student of Gikingi Primary School, Ngare Naro Primary School, Nyahururu High School and Karau Secondary School.

HON. KARIUKI MUCHIRI was the MCA for Murungaru Ward.
He was a member of the County Assembly Service Board.
He was a member of Lands, Housing and Physical Planning Committee, Members Welfare, Catering and Library Committee; Trade, Cooperatives, Industrialization and Enterprise Development Committee; and Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Committee.
Hon Kariuki was serving as the MCA for Murungaru Ward for the second time having been re-elected in the 2017 general elections. He was the vice chairperson of CASB in the first Assembly.
He also served as the Leader of the Majority Party in the first Assembly and as the Chairman in the defunct Nyandarua County Council having been elected as a councillor for Murungaru Ward.
The Hon Member worked with the National Government between 1992 and 2000 as a surveying technician.
Hon. Kariuki holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development from Laikipia University and a Diploma in Land Surveying from Kenya Polytechnic. He went to Magumu Secondary School for his O levels and proceeded to Kanjuri High School for his A levels. Hon Kariuki is married with four children.

Hon. Githinji Mwaniki is the MCA for Geta Ward where is he serving for the second term, and is the only MCA re-elected in Kipipiri Constituency during the 2017 general elections. He is the Vice Chairman of Budget and Appropriations Committee.
He is a member of Trade, Cooperative, Industrialization and Enterprises Development Committee; Health Services Committee and Members Welfare, Catering and Library Committee.
Hon. Githinji holds a Diploma in Community Development from Laikipia University and is pursuing a degree of the same from the same university. He also holds a Certificate in County Governance and Administration from Dedan Kimathi University.
He has endeared himself to the residents of Geta Ward through his efforts to promote their welfare. During his first five years in the County Assembly, nearly all dormant cooperative societies have been revived, Roads have been rehabilitated, direct marketing of farm produce has been promoted and health services have been improved. Water has also been supplied to homes and small scale irrigation has been started.
Moving forward, Hon .Githinji wants the newly drawn plan for Geta town to be implemented and the recently bought livestock yard will also be operationalized. He wants to focus more on dairy farming and youth and women empowerment.
Hon. Githinji is married with two children.

He served as the and the Chairman for Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Committee in the County Assembly.
He was a member of the Public Administration & ICT Committee; Trade, Cooperatives, Industrialization and Enterprise Development Committee; Public Accounts and Investments Committee and Liaison Committee.
Hon. Mathu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and Governance, Diploma in Water Resources Management from Kenya Water Institute and a Diploma in Community Development and Social work from Mount Kenya University.
Before he joined the Assembly, he was the Director of Sawath Africa Sawmill. He has also worked in the technical department of Nakuru Water and Sanitation Company.
Other responsibilities he held previously were being the treasurer on Mirangine Youth SACCO, vice chairman of Mirangine District Youth Council and treasurer of Nakumira Company. He also served as the member of the Board of Management at Gituamba and Kibendera primary schools. He is married and is blessed with one daughter and one son.

Hon. Suleiman Kimani is currently serving his second term as the MCA for Kanjuiri Ridge Ward. He is the chairperson of the Finance and Economic planning Committee in Nyandarua County Assembly.
He is also a member in the Budget and Appropriations Committee; Committee on Delegated county legislation; Public Administration & ICT and Liaison Committee.
He holds a Diploma in Community Development from Laikipia University and is an alumnus of Ngorika and Nyaituga Secondary and primary schools respectively.
While serving as an MCA, Hon. Kimani has contributed much towards development of business and agricultural activities in his ward.

He is also a member of the Public Accounts and Investments Committee, Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Committee; Special Funds account committee House Business Committee and Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Committee.
Hon. Mukira holds a Diploma in Information Technology from Kenya Institute of Science and Technology, another Diploma in Human Resource Management from KCA University and is pursuing a degree in Human Resource at Laikipia University.
He is an alumnus of St Joseph Primary School and St Paul Minor Seminary.
Hon. Mukira is a Member of the Computer Society of Kenya and has worked with Olkalou Disabled Rehabilitation Home for seven years.
He is married to Fridah Mukira and are blessed with two daughters- Perpetua and Stephanie.

Hon. Wambugu King’ori is the chairman of the Education, Culture and Social Services Committee in Nyandarua County Assembly and MCA for North Kinangop Ward where he is serving for the second term. He served as the Deputy Speaker in the first Assembly.
He is a member of Liaison Committee, House Business committee, Committee on Implementation, Public Administration and ICT Committee; Public Accounts and Investments Committee and Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Committee.
Hon. King’ori holds a Bachelor of Education (Science) from Mount Kenya University. He is an alumnus of Muhuti Primary School and Nyahururu High School.
He was a teacher and a businessman before he ventured into politics in 2013.
The Hon. Member has contributed much in rehabilitation of the roads network in his ward. He has also supported water projects, ensuring fair distribution of bursary and supporting development of churches.
Moving forward, Hon. King’ori intends to complete all the projects that he has initiated and focus more on value addition of farm produce. He is married with three children.

He is also a member of: Members’ Welfare, Catering and Library; Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development and Tourism, Cooperatives Development, Trade and Industrialization Committees.

He was also a Member of Public Administration and ICT Committee; Powers and Privileges’; Special Funds Account Committee; Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Committee and Liaison Committee.

Hon. Kassana is pursuing a Diploma in Public Relations from the University of Nairobi and holds a certificate in Community Health. He went to St. Christopher Schools for his Primary and Secondary School.
Before joining the County Assembly, Hon Hussein was in Landscaping ventures where he created jobs for many young people in his Ward.
He is married with three children- two boys and a daughter.

Before he joined the County Assembly as an MCA, Hon Kariuki was a veterinary officer and a businessman.
He holds a Diploma in Animal Health and Production from Mount Kenya University and a Certificate in livestock Artificial Insemination (AI) from AHITI Kabete. He is an old student of Tulaga primary and secondary school.

Hon. Wairimu Njane is the sitting MCA for Charagita ward and the chairperson for Trade, Cooperative and industrialization and Enterprise Development Committee.

Hon. Njane holds a Diploma in Cooperatives Management from the Cooperative College of Kenya. She went to Matindiri primary school and then proceeded to Kahuhia Girls High School and Kiambu High School for her O level and A levels respectively.
Before she joined the County Assembly, she was a consultant in microfinance and group dynamics issues. She previously worked as a Cooperative officer in Elgeyo Marakwet County, a Credit Officer at K-Rep Bank and a Regional manager for Vision Africa SACCO.
Hon. Njane is a born again Christian. She is the first born in a family of 12 and she is married and a mother of three- a daughter and two sons.

Hon. Gathure Wambui is the sitting MCA for Kaimbaga Ward.He is the Chairperson Special Funds Account Committee and a Member of Budget and Appropriations Committee; Finance and Economic Development Committee; Transport, Energy and Public Works Committee and Education, Culture and Social Services Committee and Liaison committee.
He holds a BA (Political Science & Economics) from the University of Nairobi and is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree from the same university. He is an alumnus of AC primary School, Nyahururu High School and Kiganjo Secondary School.
Before joining politics, Hon Gathure was a Marketing Executive at Philed Pharmaceutical Company and had also worked previously as a Relationship Officer at Equity Bank.
Hon. Gathure has been in the centre stage in promotion of development and advancement of livelihood of the people of Kaimbaga Ward.

Hon. Francis Muraya Githaiga is the MCA for Rurii Ward elected on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.
He is a member to the following committees: Lands, Housing and Physical Planning; Education, Culture and the Arts; Implementation and Delegated County Legislation.
Before he joined the County Assembly, he was a carpet hawker (Hustler), a job he held since 2018. Before then, he served as a deacon in the Catholic Church.
Hon. Muraya went to Kianduba Primary School and afterwards to Kangui and Manyatta for his secondary school education.
He joined Christ the King Major Seminary where he trained as a deacon. Later, he joined Catholic University of Eastern Africa and Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome where he studied and attained degrees in Philosophy and Theology, respectively. Additionally, Hon. Muraya holds several diplomas among them being Diploma in Anthropology and Spirituality.
He contested for Rurii Ward MCA seat for the first time in 2017 but lost to the late Hon. John Mburu Githinji.
Hon. Muraya is family man. He is married to Beatrice Muraya with whom they have three daughters.

Hon. Ngumo Ngamau is the MCA for Gathanji Ward and the Chairman for Health Services Committee in Nyandarua County Assembly.
He is also a Member in the Education, Culture and Social Services Committee; Transport, Energy and Public Works Committee; Public Administration and ICT Committee and Liaison Committee.
Before he joined Nyandarua County Assembly as an MCA, Hon Ngamau was the manager of PanAfrican Schools for 20 years. He was also a prominent farmer in Gathanji Ward and served as a chairman of several cooperative societies. He has also been in the Board of Management of Passenga Secondary School and has been a lead elder of the Africa Inland Church.
The Hon. Member founded Midwest College which was the first to teach computer studies in Nyandarua and Laikipia Counties in 1993 and has been nurturing talents among the young people.
He takes pride to have mentored over 75 young couples- acting as bestman in weddings, negotiating in dowry ceremonies, mediating conflicts in families and restoring broken families.
Hon. Ngamau holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Kenya Institute of Management and is pursuing a Degree in Leadership and Governance from CMD college- a constituent college of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University.
He went to Baharani and Chamuka Primary Schools before joining GG Rumuruti Secondary School and Koelel High School for his O levels and A levels respectively.

Before he joined the County Assembly as an MCA, Hon. Njatha was the Chairman for Uwezo fund in Kinangop Constituency and holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management.
He is a former student of Kahuru Primary School and Kitogo Secondary School. He is an athlete and a football player.

Hon. Mwangi Maitai is the sitting MCA for Central Ward.He is the Vice Chairperson Special Funds Account Committee. He is also a member of House Business Committee; Public Accounts and Investments Committee; Finance and Economic Development Committee and Water, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources Committee.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounts from the University of Nairobi and he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management from the same university. He went to Muti Umwe and Nyahururu High for his primary and secondary school education.
Before he joined the County Assembly, he was a consultant in Entrepreneurship and Business matters. He previously worked for Technoserve Company in Tanzania as a business advisor. He was also a businessman and consultant in Southern Sudan.
Other positions that he held was being the Managing Director of Davetech Interlink Limited and being the Vice Chairman of Mashariki Valley Housing Cooperative Society.
Hon. Maitai has also participated in mentorship programmes in Community Based Organizations, medical camps and has been in the forefront in matters pertaining to development of Central Ward.
He is married with three children.

Hon. Mary Njeri Wanjau is a County Member from Engineer Ward in Nyandarua County Assembly and she is the chairperson of Members Welfare, Catering and Library Committee.
She is also a member of the Lands, Housing and Urban Development committee; Powers and Privileges Committee; Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee and Public Administration and ICT Committee; Liaison Committee
Hon. Wanjau holds a Diploma in Business Management from Universal College Nairobi and a Certificate in Community Health and Social Work from Medical Missionary of Mary College.
She went to Bomet Primary school and Kaplong Girls High School in Bomet County.
Before she ventured into politics, Hon. Wanjau was the Chairlady for Consolata Rehabilitation Programme in Nairobi, an organization that engages in women empowerment and alleviation of suffering among street families.
She is a staunch Catholic and serves as the Assistant Chairlady for Catholic Women Association in Mulot Church in the Diocese of Ngong.

Hon. Wanjiku Muhoho is a County Member from Njabini Kiburu Ward and is a Member of the Speaker’s panel in Nyandarua County Assembly.
She is also a Member of Implementation Committee; Powers and Privileges Committee; House Business Committee; Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination Committee and Youth affairs, Sports and the Arts Committee.
Hon. Muhoho holds a Bsc. (Mathematics major) from the University of Nairobi and is a former student of Mt Kinangop Girls and Nova Star Academy. Her dad is her main source of inspiration.
She is strong willed and ambitious and dreams of a society with a fully empowered woman. Her passion for girl-child empowerment motivated her to come up with Candles for Girls initiative to curb teenage pregnancies which is one of the major hindrances towards young girls exploiting their full potential.
Candles for Girls seeks to not only prevent teenage pregnancies but to also empower the teenage mothers through supporting them to go back to school or equipping them with skills like knitting, dress making, hair dressing etc.
Hon. Muhoho was born in South Kinangop, Nyandarua County and is the first born in a family of six.

Hon. Jane Nyambura Waweru is a County Member from Wanjohi Ward and a Member of the Speaker’s panel. She is the vice chairperson of Member’s welfare, catering and library committee, she is also a member of the House Business Committee; Implementation Committee; Trade, Cooperatives, Industrialization and Enterprise Development; Education, Culture and Social Services Committee.
She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Development (ECD) Education and a Certificate in Livestock Artificial Insemination (AI). She is an alumnus of Ndiara Primary and Miharati Secondary Schools.
Hon. Waweru had previously served as a teacher for eight years at High Marks Academy. Before she joined the Assembly, she was the chairlady of Aberdare Youth Fresh Mind Group organization, a position she served since 2012.
She is married to Solomon Mbugua and they have two children- Triza and Risper.

Hon. Esther Nyambura Mwangi is a County Member from Karau Ward and is the Vice Chairperson of the Transport, Energy and Public Works Committee; a member of Special funds account committee; County budget and appropriations committee;
She is a member of the Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination; Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee.
She holds a Diploma in computer studies and has wealth of experience in Business spanning for over 20 years.
She is the first born in a family of five and is a former student of St Joseph Primary School and Wanjohi Girls High School. She is married to Francis Mwangi and they have four children namely Judy, Winnie, Angel and Judy.

Hon. Jecinta Wangari Githae is a County MCA from Kaimbaga Ward and the Vice Chairperson of Lands, Housing and urban development; She is also a member of Finance and Economic development committee; Implementation Committee; Delegated County Legislation Committee.
Hon. Githae is a former student of Amboni Secondary and Matindiri Primary Schools.
She is a gospel musician and the founder of Mwingi Musicians Association. She also founded Mwireri Women Group in Mwingi and has been a member of the Boards of Management of Tungutu Girls High School (Kitui) and Loreto High School Limuru.
Hon. Githae is also the chairlady of the Catholic Women Association and the treasurer of Mwingi Catholic Parish in Kitui Diocese.
She is married to Francis Githae and blessed with three children- Evelyn, Mercy and Kelvin.

Hon. Joseph Kariuki Waithira alias Balotelli is a County Member from Rurii Ward and the Vice Chairman of Youth affairs, Sports and the Arts Committee in Nyandarua County Assembly.
He is also a member of Trade, Cooperatives, Industrialization and Enterprise Development Committee; Special Funds Account committee; Members Welfare, Catering and Library Committee and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee.
Hon. Kariuki holds a Diploma in Sports Science from Laikipia University and is an alumnus of Silanga Primary and secondary schools.
Before joining the County Assembly as an MCA, he was the youth representative of Football Kenya Federation in the Central Rift branch. He was also a football player of AP Kipipiri Division One league.
Hon. Kariuki was also the organizing secretary of the Bodaboda Association of Kenya (BAK) and the Deputy Secretary General of Jubilee party in Nyandarua County. He was also the head coach of Passenga Secondary School football club that has been posting marvellous wins internationally.

Hon. Loise Wanja Kimondo is a County Member from Gathanji Ward and the Vice Chairperson of Public Accounts and Investments Committee (PICPAC).
She is also a member in the Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Committee; Education, Culture and Social Services Committee; and Finance and Economic Development Committee.
Hon. Kimondo holds a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from Laikipia University and a certificate in Computer Applications from ACK Olkalou Computer College.
She is an alumnus of Chamuka primary and Gathanje secondary schools where she was the Head girl of the latter, and was engaging in private businesses before she joined Nyandarua County Assembly as an MCA.
Hon. Kimondo is a career secretary and she served in this capacity at:

She was also the chairlady of Chamuka Women group and served as a clerk at Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA). Hon. Kimondo is a mother of one- Hydean Mwangi.

Hon Margaret Wanjiru Ireri is a County Member from Njabini Kiburu Ward and the Vice Chairperson of Finance and Economic Development at Nyandarua County Assembly.
She is also a member of Transport, Energy and Public Works Committee; Trade, Cooperatives, Industrialization and Enterprise Development and Public Accounts & Investments Committee (PICPAC).
Before she joined the County Assembly, Hon. Wanjiru was the Chairperson of Maendeleo ya Wanawake in Kinangop Sub county.
She also worked previously with Social Reform Center as a mobilizer where she was leading in the campaign to have youth around Mount Kenya to register as voters.
She also supported cooperative movement and assisted registered groups in her home area to access financial support from government.
Hon. Wanjiru went to Munyaka Primary School and Munyaka Secondary school for her education.
She is a mother of two girls.

Hon. Mary Waithira Waweru is a County Member from Shamata ward and the Vice Chairperson of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee in Nyandarua County Assembly.
She is also a member in the Finance and Economic Development Committee; Members Welfare, Catering and Library Committee and Lands, Housing and Physical Development Committee.
Hon. Waweru is a former student of Nyandarua High School, Shamata Secondary School and Simbara Primary School.
Before she joined the Assembly, she was the chairlady of Muiguithania Women group and Shamata Self Help Group. She was also the Secretary of Pioneer Shamata Self Help Group and Nyandarua Wananchi forum.
She was also a voluntary children rights crusader.

Hon. Salome Gathoni is a County Member from Magumu Ward and the Vice Chairperson of the Legal Affairs, Labour, Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination in Nyandarua County Assembly.
She is also a member in the Implementation Committee; Public Administration and ICT and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee.
She is an alumnus of Nyamweru Primary School and Emaculate Heart Juniorate Eldoret.
Hon. Gathoni was engaging in agribusiness before she joined the County Assembly and has been a member of various development oriented groups.
She is a staunch catholic and has served in the choir as member and also as a teacher of Pontific Missionary Children in the church.
Other groups that she has served in Magumu ward are Smart Ladies, Kirathimo and Muthaiga Women Group.
She is the second born in a family eight and has seven children
