Serjeant-at-Arms Department

The department is headed by the Chief Serjeant-At-Arms, Mr. Stanley Kimeria.

It is tasked with:-

• Maintaining custody of the mace;
• Ensuring protective security for all persons and property
• Advising the Speaker and the Clerk on security matters;
• Support smooth running of committee services;
• Performing chambers and ceremonial duties;
• Maintaining decorum and enforcing the Speaker’s rules;
• Performing access control management within the institution;
• Disaster preparedness and mitigation;
• Surveillance and monitoring of the County Assembly through CCTV cameras within the precincts.
